“How to Build Your Book Platform on the Web”

Websites, Blogs, Facebook, Twitter: everyone says you need to use them… but are they actually effective tools for selling books on the Web?

Yes—but only a select few authors and publishers know how to use the Internet to generate significant book sales. In this presentation, Grael Norton will explain how to use online media to convert online visitors to book buyers and build your author platform.

As a bonus, author and publisher Marion Orem will share her own experiences with building her author platform.

grael_norton.jpgGrael Norton specializes in two things: teaching writers how to be entrepreneurs and teaching entrepreneurs how to be writers. Prior to joining Wheatmark, he worked as an editorial assistant for Fodors.com, a division of Random House, and launched an information business selling eBooks on the Web.

Today, as a Publishing Consultant for Wheatmark, Grael teaches authors the ins-and-outs of selling their work using the twin powers of print-on-demand technology and the Internet. Wheatmark, Inc., is a team of book-publishing professionals dedicated to helping authors compete more effectively in today’s marketplace.
