Founded in Phoenix in April of 1992, the Arizona Book Publishing Association’s mission is to advance and promote successful book publishing in Arizona through education, community involvement, cooperative effort, peer recognition, industry advocacy, and the support of 1st Amendment rights.
Membership is open to the public in two categories: Book Publisher Member and Associate Member. Members govern the organization and may hold seats on the Board of Directors, which runs the organization’s affairs.
A candidate for Book Publisher member must currently be in business as a book publisher. ABPA members run the gamut from the largest publishers in the state to single-title self-publishers.
Associate membership is open to anyone with an interest in book publishing and includes printers, distributors, graphics and design firms, typographers, artists, booksellers, authors and others.
All members of ABPA pay the same annual dues, participate in events at the same rates and are encouraged to volunteer for various committee activities. Anyone interested may attend our monthly meetings.
If you work in the industry or have an interest in book publishing and want to know more about the field in Arizona, join the Arizona Book Publishing Association.
Benefits of Membership
