Be a part of the Western States Independent Publishers’ Catalog of Books!

Join with publishers throughout the Western United States in a new independent publishers’ catalog of books. ABPA has joined forces with three other IBPA affiliates—Publishers Association of Los Angeles (PALA), Publishers and Writers of San Diego (PWSD), and Bay Area Independent Publishers Association (BAIPA)—to produce a Western States catalog that will be available both online and printed and will be distributed to libraries and booksellers throughout California and Arizona. Take advantage of this terrific opportunity to get more exposure for your books.

Joining forces with other publishing affiliates will give your books the much broader exposure they deserve.

The catalog will be distributed by each affiliate to the libraries and bookstores in its region, as well as among its members. Libraries and bookstores are expressing more and more interest in supporting local and regional publishing. This coalition will also highlight the breadth, depth, and quality of the current independent publishing boom, and your books will be part of it! This is a tremendous marketing opportunity at a terrifically affordable investment.

Each book and its cover will be featured in full color in its appropriate category. The catalog spaces are 6 per page and 1.5 x 2 inches. The cost of joining this marketing effort is minimal: $40 for the first book, $20 for books 2-5, and $15 for each book over 5. Click SAMPLE to see a sample catalog page.

Signing up is easy. Please click CATALOG, or paste this in your browser, http://tinyurl.com/CATALOGform. Fill out the online submission form, which includes the following information: title, subtitle, author, description (approximately 30 words within 200 characters or less), category (from drop-down menu), ISBN, binding, trim size, number of pages, price, publisher, distribution information, URL etc. You will upload your cover art approximately 1.5” x 2”, at 300 DPI.

Remember, listings may be submitted ONLY via the online submission form, and the form cannot be transmitted unless it is completely filled out. No submissions will be accepted by email or snail mail.

Payment will be made directly to ABPA by check or online payment. This information appears on the catalog form confirmation page. If you are not properly redirected, return here and select PAYMENT. However, you must first submit your book titles.

Catalog deadline is August 31. Since we want to take advantage of the holiday shopping season, this deadline is firm. No exceptions!
